Given current drought conditions, coupled with predictions for continued drought in 2013, the NOAA-led National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) is co-sponsoring with the National Drought Mitigation Center, a National Drought Early Warning Outlook, on Thursday, February 21 on Capitol Hill.
Experts from various agencies and organizations will present and discuss climate and water supply forecasts, and the national wildfire outlook. This drought outlook event will give attendees information about anticipated drought conditions and resources for drought preparedness.
