NOAA to update Atlantic hurricane season outlook

 

On Thursday, Aug. 9, NOAA will update its outlook for the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season as we enter the historical peak of the season and approach the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew, the last category five hurricane to strike the United States. So far this season, there have been three tropical storms, one hurricane and NOAA’s National Hurricane Center is currently tracking Ernesto in the south-central Atlantic Ocean.
