To mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Andrew (August 24), NOAA will host a teleconference of distinguished panelists who will discuss the experience of forecasting Hurricane Andrew, the advances in forecasting since 1992, and today’s goals and challenges in hurricane research and forecasting. Andrew was the last category five hurricane to strike the United States.
