NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco will host a news conference at the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center in Huntington Beach, Calif., to announce the selection of community based coastal restoration projects across the nation. Totaling $167 million, these shovel ready projects were selected from a nationwide call for the restoration of damaged wetlands, shellfish beds, coral reefs and reopening of fish passages that boost the health and resiliency of our nation’s coastal and Great Lakes communities while creating jobs in the local economy.
