Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco will host a media teleconference tomorrow to announce the selection of community-based coastal restoration projects, which will receive a total of $167 million under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The funds, for projects across the nation, will help create jobs to restore damaged wetlands, shellfish beds, coral reefs and reopen fish passages that boost the health and resiliency of the nation’s coastal and Great Lakes communities.
