NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries’ California Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program and Channel Island National Marine Sanctuary are hosting a public event to mark the presentation of $374,000 to support environmental education programs in the Santa Barbara Channel watershed.
Ceremony to mark awarding of funds to seven grant recipients who use the outdoors as a classroom. Grant recipients, students and teachers will attend.

B-WET grant recipients
California B-WET provides funds to environmentally based education organizations to provide students, teachers and communities throughout the Santa Barbara Channel watershed with meaningful watershed educational experiences. Through competitive grants, the B-WET program has the opportunity to bring the environment into every classroom and every child out into the environment in a meaningful way.
