National Hurricane Center Experts to Speak at Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference

Available for Media Interviews beginning May 12

NOAA’s National Hurricane Center director and several hurricane specialists will be available for one-on-one interviews with media organizations on Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13, at the 22nd annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Throughout the five-day program, hurricane specialists from the NHC will join experts from other federal, state and local agencies, emergency managers and personnel, first responders and health and medical professionals to conduct and participate in training courses, workshops and panel discussions on many aspects of tropical cyclones and mitigation.
